We have another big round of earnings coming out this morning. Three names that are going to be releasing earnings this morning are Halliburton (NYSE: HAL), Hasbro Inc. (NYSE: HAS) and Merck & Co. (NYSE: MRK). Let’s take a look at what Wall Street is expecting to see this morning:
- Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) : Halliburton will be releasing its third quarter earnings before the market opens, and analysts are expecting to see the company show 64 cents per share. The company last reported earnings on July 23 when it beat estimates by reporting 60 cents a share, 4 cents higher than the 56 cents analysts were expecting to see. The stock fell over 5 percent last Friday in anticipation.
- Hasbro Inc. (NYSE: HAS) : Hasbro will also be announced its third quarter numbers prior to today’s market open. The last time the company reported earnings was back on July 23 when the company surprised to the upside by reporting 24 cents per share while analysts had been planning to see the company show earnings of 18 cents a share. When the company reports this morning analysts are expecting to see the company show 71 cents per share.
- Merck & Co. (NYSE: MRK) : Pharmaceutical gian Merck & Co. is going to be reporting its third quarter numbers this morning. Analysts are expecting to see 69 cents per share. The last time the company released earnings was on July 23 when it reported estimate beating numbers of 82 cents per share, above the 72 cents a share Wall Street was expecting to see.
Other big names reporting this morning are American Express Co. (NYSE: AXP) and Apple Computer (NASDAQ: AAPL), both of which will report earnings tonight after the market close.
