Premarket : Futures flat ahead of the opening bell; Research in Motion (RIMM)

Futures are indicating a flat open this morning ahead of a couple of key economic reports due to be released today. We will get reports today out of the Labor Department will report weekly jobless claims before the opening bell, and around 10:00 a.m. the Commerce Department will release its report on August factory orders. Wall Street will be looking to see a 2.8% decline in August after an increase of 3.7% in July.

RIMMFollowing the market close today, Research in Motion Ltd. (NASDAQ: RIMM) will be releasing its second quarter earnings numbers. Analysts are expecting to see the company show 50 cents a share profit when the numbers are released following the market close later today. We will update you on the actual numbers as they become available.
